WebDec 15, 2014 · [email protected]. We have a 2012 Equinox with 2.4 engine. We have noticed that the instrument panel lights will go dim, then brighten back up randomly. One day we were driving and the entire instrument panel, and radio went out. When we stopped and shut the car off, and restarted it, the lights and radio came back on. When I switch them to Auto or on with the signal light knob, they turn dim to where I practically can’t see them, especially during the day.
