A drill or other hole making device - a hot nail works great too. 3. Perlite (any size will do - finer is better for the roots, but too fine will run out the hole. I do mine on Fridays. Hempy bucket would be a little easier. But I dont think they work any better than a highly aerated soil. Like hempy recco's, lil bit of light fertigation every other day till you see growth (plant getting bigger or root poking thru the hempy-hole) then fertigate to runoff every day.
