WebSep 5, 2013 · This paper shows that inter-cell interference, which is a main limiting factor in such networks, can be effectively contained using Interference Rejection Combining (IRC). By simulation we investigate two significantly different interference scenarios with dense small cell deployment. WebThus we propose an effective methodology for interference modeling, and conduct system level simulations to generate the results for the interference profiles. Furthermore, link level simulations with two explicit interferers are carried out, which show that BS MMSE-IRC receiver can bring in 3.89~8.76 dB SINR gain over MMSE receiver.
